# Dashboard Overview

## Overview

The Dashboard is the landing page of the LAAVAT Platform GUI. It provides a quick summary of **pending tasks** and **operational status** to help stay informed about the platform's health and outstanding actions.

## Pending Tasks

The tasks section displays the total number of **approval tasks** awaiting action across all categories:

Category                           | Description

**Change Request Approvals**       | Pending product change request approvals
**Client Approvals**               | Pending client registration approvals
**Configuration Approvals**        | Pending system configuration change approvals
**EST Config Approvals**           | Pending EST service configuration approvals
**Image Signing Approvals**        | Pending image signing approvals
**Master Key Request Approvals**   | Pending master key request approvals
**Product Approvals**              | Pending product creation approvals
**Revocation Approvals**           | Pending certificate revocation approvals

When there are pending approvals, a notification indicator is displayed with the total count. If no approvals are pending, a confirmation message indicates that all tasks are complete.

> **Tip: Stay on top of approvals**
> Check the dashboard regularly to ensure approval requests are handled promptly. Delayed approvals can block production workflows such as signing operations and certificate issuance.

## Operational Status

The operational status section provides real-time health monitoring of the platform's core components:

Component              | Description
-----------------------|--------------------------------------------------------------
**All Systems**        | Overall platform health (Operational / Not Operational)
**Storage**            | Status of the platform's storage subsystem
**HSM**                | Status of the Hardware Security Module used for key management
**Databases**          | Status of the platform's database services
**Active Directory**   | Status of the identity provider integration
**Status Checked**     | Timestamp of the most recent health check

### Status Indicators

Indicator          | Meaning
-------------------|--------------------------------------------------------------
Green checkmark    | The component is operational
Warning triangle   | The component is not operational and may require attention
Blue clock         | The component status is being checked

The dashboard automatically refreshes health status and approval counts at regular intervals.

> **Warning: Non-operational components**
> If any component shows a non-operational status, investigate promptly. HSM or database issues can prevent signing operations and certificate issuance. Contact your platform administrator or LAAVAT support if the issue persists.
